And i was kinda hopin for better times but oh well! This is what i got 14.9 was my best at like 96 mph!!!
Alot of 15.1's man at the end of the track coming on the end the car pulle like a freight train I know i was running like 20 psi once i looked down
The only thing i had done to the car was a kn filter and an exhaust that i want using I had a cutout that opened and tips on running for tuesday nighyt?????? ig ot a mbc to hook up on monday!
And do u guys think my time should be better??? Alll ido is spin like a mother facker of the l ine any tips guys ??? PLEASE i need some help there is a laser same as mine with a muffler and he says he is all stock and hes runnning like 14.5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Invest in some nice tires. My GS-T has dunlop SP5000's I could be rollin goin 20mph slam it in 1st and not even spin. This is with a 16g, stock fuel, stock sidemount. I swear, the SP5000's are just awesome, but no one else seems to run em but me.

shew man, work on that launch. I have had my fair share of wheel-spinning crappy runs (well, all my runs!). FWD is a PITA, and everyone says practice practice practice, i'm hoping to pull 2.1-2.2's by the end of the summer on DR's. Not a bad time for your 60' i'd say. I'm guessing the 20 psi had somthing to due with the extra umpf, but i cant bring myself to think that that's healthy for your motor.

happy, not bad for the first time out.
the 60' you gotta work on. the launches are a delicate art of feathering the clutch and gas. you gotta keep it right below the point where u lose traction. try launching at a lower RPM next time....then just feather it thru 1st and part of 2nd.

Bog when you let the clutch out, and just WOT through 1st. Let it bang against the rev-limiter for a second, and crush 2nd.

When I mean bog, I mean jus the slightest rpm drop, let the turbo's spool time be you traction adder.

No reason to not pull 2.0-2.1's like this. 1.9-2.0 with dr's. Slicks are a different ball game, you can't launch hard enough with em.

That is a good mph. I would just be careful running that much boost without an upgraded fuel pump.

I ran consistent 2.2's on street tires with my gs-t. You really need to practice that launch. Basically you've got feather the clutch if you just dump it you'll never get a good 60" unless your running slicks. You want your wheels to spin off the line but you don't want to just smoke the tires. That's were feathering the clutch comes into play. Give just enough clutch to give you forward motion but not enough to blow the tires up in smoke. All you have to do is practice. Better tires help and drag radials should get you at least a 2.1-2.0 60". With those traps you can run about 14.4 - 14.5 or at least that's what I ran with that trap and a 2.2 60". Good luck

Ok I have a question since this is gonna be my very first time taking the laser to the track. Now I've only owned a stick for 3 weeks now but I'm getting pretty good at it. In stock at the moment but I should have a k&n filter and a short throw shifter by well today.. Any I also own a Grand Prix GTP and my 60ft's without slicks on street tire bridgestone potenza's are 2.0 or 2.1 and I run constant 13's anyway. My question is launching will be something I work on when the timn comes but WHAT RPM do you shift at from 1st to 2nd to 3rd. or I doubt I will shift to 4th. But I was thinking somewhere in the 6,200 range or is there some other rpm range. Kinda easy with an auto that shifts at 6,500 rpms(upgraded pcm) But i have no clue with this car.. Any advice would be nice.

I just wanna cut a 14 something so is it safe to say it's obtainable? with a decent 2.2 60ft with tire spin? With just a k&n and short throw shifter?

I am gonna do the free mod of cutting a hole behind the intercooler so air can pass throw so I guess that will help.

hmm, my trans wont even let me go in first geat anywhere above 15mph.. it will once in a great while but when it does it grinds and i go

The launch is the hardest part of racing, it just takes practice to get it down. I wish I could help you but I havn't raced a FWD car for awhile, let alone I cant get my car down past 2.2 (RWD)
