Hey guys..just a few things ..i have a 98 gs a/t..yeah yeah i kno..my friend has a 2001 stang..were gonna race soon..wut should i do to beat him..even though i wont...any mods that could help? launch rpms?

First off dont nuetral drop...neons dont like that trust me. Second the new v6 stangs can haul ass, granted they arent turbo dsm fast but they are a hell of alot faster than the old ones. Power brake nail the pedal and do any mods in between now and the race have fun and good luck.

I have a 420A powered eclipse and its not that fast.Infact its pretty slow in my opinion.Like most of these people say buy a 4g63 an start there, the 420A is very unimpressive.Thats why I got my Talon.

I am one of the few 4g63 owners who dont mind or flame the 420a. Yes it isnt that fast but I know that it is faster than any civic stock vs stock. The only reason , other than not having a turbo, that I didnt buy a 420a then turbo it...is cause the 4g63 has the same if not a tiny bit better rev capabilities. Other than that the new stang v6 is pretty nice, I know a guy running high 15s on it bone stock.

With a good driver, they run low 15's stock. My brother is making 230 to the wheels NA in his '00 V6 stang.

I find low 15s kinda extreme mabey mid 15s. Remember they have a little less hp than gst but are about 3300 pounds, And I run high 14s. Dont get me wrong they do haul a$$ I pdi'ed one at the dealership and it was pretty fast...but so is the cobra.

they wegh 3065lbs stock.

should go mid to low 15's with a decent driver. I got a 15.4 in mine stock.
