I just got a 90 gsx, and i love it. It is bone stock w/ a 5spd in it. I was wondering what is a good rpm to drop into when launching, and some good shift points too....i am new to this awd thing....i have an 84 vette that i usually launch at like 2000rpm, but the gsx is a totally different animal....what are some of your suggestions???

Your going to get a whole bunch of different opinions on this. Some will say to dump it at 6500+RPM(very hard on the car) and some will say just to rev it to like 5000RPM and slip it. An AWD is eisy to learn how to launch compared to a FWD.

Usualy shift around 6000RPM.

I rev it to 4500 rpm's and hold it there and slowly slip out the clutch until I feel it grab. Once it grabs I let it out quick. Just practice and you will figure out what works best for you.
