Well I took the talon out to the track today with a bov and exhaust leak, cas adjusted all the way up, needing a tune and I can't get out the hole to save my life. After 6 passes with my very 1st pass being a 16.0, I ended the night with a 13.8 :coy:

New bov is on the way and I have a cas already just waiting til I get some money to get a tune and a gasket or something to stop my exhaust leak. With the leaks fixed and if I can get out the hole, do you think I can hit the 12s? I know alot depends on the tune, but just asking becasue my start time is so bad.

2.2 60' is pretty poopy...get it around 1.8 and you'll get close.

Don't worry, not hating at all! I went 13.9 my first time at the track so no worries! Keep practicing and you'll get it!

Your first time is rarely what you hope it will be! Just keep practicing!!! I have a few things to comment on for you.

Get rid of that knock in 2nd and 3rd gear! The odd part is that you didn't knock in 4th which is more likely on a full 1st-4th pull at the track. You need to pull more timing at 6k rpms. The stock curve calls for 24* advance at 6k. You are only pulling 3* so it is shooting for 21* total advance which is too much. You're really just shooting in the dark til you get the base timing set to 5* BTDC though.

Here is a screen shot of the stock 1G timing table. Just figure what you want to run and pull sliders to get that value.

What was your AFR? You look lean according to your front O2 sensor. What boost? You could drop your coolant temps some to help out the knock. What plugs are you running?

Afr are low 10s. I have v2.5 and my wideband is set up as narrowba sim. I'm running 18psi with a leaking bov, u can hear it when you pop the hood, and you can feel the exhaust leak. Its where the o2 meets the downpipe. I put a new gasket there when I put in the pr recirculated o2. I'm running bpr7es and ngk wires. I think the gap is .019 or .028 can't remember.

yeah good job man. not to bad for first time. get a little more aggressive with your launch to improve that 60'. its pretty sweet to see other peoples logs. thanks for posting that. one thing i notice is the short term fuel trim and the combined fuel trim arent as close together as they should be. i think you should mess with the tune some more. theres no wideband being logged. do you have one? if so i would wire it into the ecu so you can log air fuel. notice the air fuel esstimate? if you had wide band logging you want those two lines to be very close to one another. same with the map sensor that you dont have logging. once you get a GM3bar map or like a OMNI4bar map sensor installled it'll be super nice to log your boost. im tuned on speed density and my actual boost and my boost esstimate lines ar super close to one another.

I have a wideband but its setup as narrowband so my afr on the wb don't match my afr in link. I don't know how to tune, but I'm thinking about upgrading to v3 so I can do the wb sim thing. As far as the map sensor thing I'm running a 2g maf.

yeah i had dsmlink V2.5 and a factory 2Gmaf the first time i ever went to the dyno (cobb tuning surgline) and i was so let down. i didnt even break 300awhp and i had a HOLESET HX40. the factory maf in my opinion doesnt work as well as some people claim it does. honestly i dont understand how its been said that 400hp can be relized on a stock maf? but when i upgraded to dsmlinkV3 and got the adaptor cable (best 60bucks i ever spent by the way) to run a GM air flow sensor there was a HUGE night and day differance. upgrading my maf was one of the best thing s i could of done. ive since switched to full SD and have no maf at all. but i would deffinatley recomend upgrading to version3. they got it so badass now man. the upgrade is WELL worth it
