Been playing with the program "dynomaster" on my phone an dkept getting super slow times like 12 second 1/8th miles and such (using speed to trigger it set to 0 mph sinc ei wanted 0-60 times) turned out when i hit start, it was triggered, so it was counting the tiem from me pressing the button, to staging up on the 2 step and then launching counting all that dead useless time into my run, how else does a dyno proven DSM in exces of 430HP run 11's in the 1/8th mile, LOL

well after much dismay and tooling with it i deciede to set it up on a 14 second countdown, I was in a back indutrial area that's privately owned by a trucking corp here loclaly and had permission to be out there goofing off ( just wanted to state i wasn't out "street racing"

the guys watching were using watches an coming up with varying times and such but once i set the unit to do a countdown i have to at leat report the closes thing to a racetrack visit i've a din 10 years or so as well as the times

there was only room to run an 1/8th mile so i went for it.

Launch was a bit babied since the driveline is stock as well as shifting was done granny style

bUt
60 foot was a 1.87
1/8th mile was 7.58
MPH was lower than i thought it would be and was 91mph (i was thinking 100 or so, but i guess AWD does take away wheel spin that inflates the MPH over the ET)
This was at a 4500 RPM 2-step, slipping the clutch just enough to get the car moving then letting off the 2 step and going to the floor with it almost immediately after the car was sstarting to roll(mine isn't MPHG activated sinc ei don'thave the speed sensor tied into my ECU)

I will be the first to admit i don't knkow much about 1.8 mile times except they are there on the 1/4 mile sheets and i glance at them here and rhere but i've always been a 1320 kinda guy (mainoy cause hewn i was in GST form i spun untill i got past the 1/8 almost LOL)

So tell me, aside from the rough math of adding4 seconds to ytour 1/8 to get a rough 1/4 ET, how does that ET/MPH stack up? I was at 27-28psi, runnin atad rich in the very top and no datal ogs sadly sinc ei didn't have the laptop and was jus stopping at the docking area they let a few of us play in on our bikes and cars when they're not moving trucks through there, but depending on how that car would pull in the big end i'm surely to be in the 11's if this program is anywhere near accurate at these levels (but it's GPS based so the slower update times makeme feel robbed bit)

opne thing that scared the poop out of me was on the last run (was gonna be the best one too i know it :D) i heard a rappid tick tick tick tick tick and shit down immediately, turned out the AC belt decided it needed to be slimmed down by about 1/3rd of it's total width (tahnks god that's all it was, i was aftaid i threw a rocker cause the 1-2 shift came up FAST and i shifted about 8700 RPM

Nver smelled clutch so i was happy with tthat, overlall im super happy anyway you put it. AWD kinda like porsche "there is no substitute" :D LOL

7.88 1/8 - 11.8 1/4
7.1 1/8 - 11.1 1/4
7.2 1/8 - 10.8 1/4
6.6 1/8 - 10.4 1/4

7.50s should be a mid 11.

THanks slowgsr! best part is IF i decide to keep this turbo (that' a big IF) i'm no where near it's efficiency range, PTE told me it won't really wake up until 35psi and can continue to push untill 50 without becoming a heating system instead of a turbo in general

What really makes me happy is that the launches were the most bablied launches ive ever seen pulled in an AWD LOL, 4500 2-step on a turbo that wakes up at 5k, while purposely babying the OEM center diff and knowing it's my only DD kept even a chirp of the tires unhead of but i do love the way you feel the rears start to slowly rotate just barely faster to where you feel the treads slipping but not enoughto actually "spin the tires"

I'd love to pull off a 7.2 or less at this point since the car aside from drivetrain (completely stock after the AWD swap) The rest of the setup IMO is not really "matched" well to that size blower. Now i could be wrong, and although the "mis-match" does make it a very streetworthy turbo * in an AWD inmy opnion as a FWD can't load it properl on stret tires to make it a daily heavy trafic machine, but at the drag strip i think it almost "built in traction control" would be a great asset as well ( think this turbo wold benefit most from a SMIM, some 280 or similar cams, but the 264/272 combo with port matched 1g inake/head keep the spool and street manners in check i believe (based on AFR"s, fuel injector size and IDC's we estimated on the lowe'ish side that when i turn it up anywhere near 30 i was pushing about 546hp - 570 was the high end of the math) but man o man do i need some 1600's, l19's and a better intake and posible an MLS gaske .There's 2 other cars I know of running this turbo loclaly, one is a 240 making over 530 at 24 psi and the other is a honda making damn near 700 at a tad over 30 but both have SMIM's, bigger cams and good port jobs. But my goal is still (for now at least) 500-550 AWHP with the widest curve possibly able to be made

I do wish i had gotten to run it on slicks before the swap, but what can i say aside from the financial end AWD kicks ass ( i say financial end because i gt lucky intrading parts and spent less on my AWD swap than i wold have to buy a new set of mt preffered slicks. ut asde from when i trded which i don't consider "money spent" ihave under 20 bucks in teh whole swap

My motto should be trade parts, trade labor, then break out what little cash i have" LOL
And that 150-200 bucks includes the seals for the CV's, fluids, and part of it was even an oil change on the engine which doen'st even qualify as partof the swap LOL

Through all my bad luck ( and better believe i have lots of that) this is one that went my way adn i couldn't be happier with it (well unless the trans wouldhhve been a TRE or smimlar that i got in the trade... but hell, the LSD rear, extra d-shaft and extra open rear along with mostly complete AWD exhuast were definitely worth it IMO

just next time i won't waste time removing the AWD's carrier bearing bracekets and will jus fab my own like i did the front one. My swap took 7 days start to finish + 4 extra of worrking out bugs, btu i think if i did another one for some one i could probably do it un 5 or less with my tools/garage on hand, but fab work is a great love of my life so it's excitign to me and not so much a chore
