Finally got my talon out for the first time in 2 yr. My first pass the car went 9.40's low boost 38psi, second pass the car went 9.09@164 still boost only at 44psi . This was done on a street tire night so there is no track prep at all, I think few more passes and a good track the car will go 8's.

Agreed. For all those that know LVD, this was a regular Wednesday night track prep, LOL.

Congrats again man. Now I can't bust your B**ls about 9's. The run looked more slippery live, than it looked on video. That was a fun night. Glad you finally got her out of "Dyno Queen" setting :applause:

yeah the video just dont show how slippery it was.. It felt crazy in the car.

Awesome runs!!!!! With those speeds and a well preped track you could click off a low 8s pass.....

Do you mind sharing the mods? That thing was all over the track, love the car. Keep up the good work.

the car has a very simple set up
built motor, stock unported head just sr, valves and cams
gt42r turbo, custom exhaust manifold, aem, ppt clutch. and all the rest is the basic stuff everyone else has. Dont get me wrong there is a lot of little stuff that will take me forever to list out, but thats just the major stuff.

from what i understand he does all his own work at his shop, great car i wanted to buy it but couldnt come up with what he wanted for it

come on you can list better then that. theres no dyno vids? or anything prior to that run? who tuned the car?
Raif doesn't talk much on the computer, LOL. I'll just add a little info; The car has been around for awhile. He's just been focusing on other things. Its no flash in the pan, insto low 9's by any means. I believe it was three years ago now (? maybe just 2) he dipped into the nines. Kinda did a Shep thing :p and got her chassis set-up for 9's and did some motor work trying to solve a nagging problem. Has been working on the dyno with appropriate numbers to run in the 8's (I'll let him give the numbers if he wants).

In the mean time he has been working on the Evo (which won its class at the E-town Shoot out). So you got to figure he knows how to race.

Anyhow, as for trannies, he builds them for the guys in the area. RRT I beleive he calls it.

The guy who tuned it is Kenny, a well known tuner in the area. I honestly am not sure if he has gone out on his own or not, so I'm not going to mention the previous (or current) establishment he was/is at :D But I'm sure that Raif can fill you in on that.

And one more thing, as much as this post may imply, I'm not his nut swinger, he swings on mine :p

I think that covers a bit of the info. Raif, let me know if any of that is wrong info (except for the last sentence).

Bullet is right. The car has been around for a long time. Its been in the 10's on a stock motor 6 years ago, it went 9.60@ 152 2years ago. Then I bought my evo, and I lost interest in the car. Until few people talked me into bringing it back to the track, so I brought it out ,and im in love with the car again. 2 years ago the car made 933awhp, I dont know what it makes now since the boost is set lower just so I can learn the car again.
The car is built 100% in my home garage, My good friend Kenny is the one that does the tuning on the AEM, and built me the manifold for the 42r.
also it still has all 4 stock axles, stock t-case, stock 4 bolt,

1fastlaser this was done on a 4202 so 74mm.

Very nice man, Im on the 4294. I like the fact that im in the same drivetrain boat as you. Just goes to show you, sometimes a good driver can hold things together.:thumb:

Just wow,great looking car,you don't see many 1G's anywhere anymore,so it's nice to see such a BAD 1G.

Are using the factory 3rd 4th gear, machined to double syncro, or evo 3 3rd 4th?
