Well i finally got a 11s pass and i am so pumped:hellyeah: I have tried so hard for the past year but couldn't make ends meet. I ran nothing but mid 12s all last year. So for this year i bought a shep stage 3 trans back in April to see if that would help put me in the 11s.
By the way i was tring to do this on 20psi stock bottem end. April 19th I went to the track with the new tranny and my best run was a 12.34 @ 113.26 not to bad, I had wastegate problems that day.
So some time in May i blew out my G60 turbo and that put me down for a month or so.
Around the middle of June i bought a Hx35 with a bep ar/.70 housing from jusmx141 who is a great friend and awesome person to know( thanks Justin) I bought a ERL Stainless manifold to fit the turbo in my car. Made it to the track at Mason Dixon Dragway on July 3rd First pass was a 11.99 @ 116.49 I about shit a brick. The video will show the day at the track first run to the last run. On my 11.88 run I (NLTS) into third gear @8000rpm's and blew out my third gear sychros :ohdamn: I dont know if i didn't have the clutch all the way down or what, but that sucked. So the next day I took the tranny out and that monday i drove 4hours and droped it off at sheps and told him what happend. He then said that a ACT clutch is not a good clutch to (NLTS) with. Well that is like telling me that i cant use full throdle down the track, i have to NLTS its a habit. So he recommended to get a QM twin disc clutch, so i did. I also added double sychro 3rd and 4th while he had the tranny apart. I got the tranny and the clutch and installed. I will update how it does as i am breaking it in as of now. Please injoy my video and thanks for reading.

nice runs...you have some pertty quick cars out there

Yeah, that was the first time to that track and they run the street and slick cars together. The other track that i go to they separate those classes but it was fun!

Looks good. Is this just a track or weekend/track car? I was just curious as to how it is driving with that twin disc, I heard engagement is kinda rough. Thanks!

Its a weekend/track car! The clutch is a little tricky, I have stalled it 5 times now but I like it alot. Its not that bad just that the clutch petal only has to move like 2 inches for full disengagement witch is awesome for fast shifting!

Congrats!!! I know all about that tryin to get an 11 second pass! Nice job!:thumb:

Thanks guys, I did my first pull today (first-second gear) very impressed with the new clutch I like it alot, taking some getting use to but, werth it!

I just need your 60ft's and i will be set!!

My best is 1.718

In due time I'm sure. Just have to analyze what the car is doing and dial it in from there: maybe need more traction-tires/pressure, suspension adjustments - rear upper ingalls arms, or bushings......not sure if you have all that yet. But, those are some things. And off course launch rpm.

Seat time is #1 so keep at it and I'm sure it will come.

Vid was cool, launches look nice and shifts sound good. Gotta love it when it's a super loud V8 in your vid and you can't hear what the car sounds like. I have tons of those vids, or they are in the box blazin the tires and it drowns the sound out. Oh well!

Congrats again!

Well either compressor wheel can do this. He only did 116mph, about 450whp if it isn't stripped. It was an hx35 with a BEP .70 a/r housing. There's actually a 54mm 8blade wheel too. It usually comes with a compressor outlet that works with a simple coupler and clamp, not a v-band outlet. Then, of course, you have the 52lb/min 56mm 8blade. And then the 60lb/min 56mm 7blade. I doubt he's pushing more than what the 54mm wheel can do.

What Hx35 is this, and were you hot lapping? Sorry to hear about gear, but good looking car, decent runs!

It is a 7blade. I had about 3min after each run then i ran again!

Dont laugh but it was not tuned either! Running a 10.0 afr. But it is tuned now and pulls alot harder, i hope i can pull off a 11.5 pass @ 25psi dont know we will see!

Definately doable. You after all have a 600whp turbo :p No matter what the price tag says.

Thanks!! I love this turbo thanks to jusmx141 for hooking me up! I am going to a smim after the shootout, but for now have to work with what i have. Might turn it up to 28psi for the shootout and see what it can do.

I love my shep stage 4 and QM twin, I drive it on the street with a welded diff also.

My QM twin made a loud squeeking noise for about... 700km, now, it squeeks sometimes. However, the car shifts AMAZING. I have never missed a shift at the track, however I don't WOT shift, its just not worth the added tenth on your ET when you destroy your driveline.

Heck your going to be at the shootout too eh, I ran my S258 @ 27psi and went 128mph and 11.2 with 1.8 60ft on stock 6 bolt, I am seeing no knock. I am currently doing some tuning on 31-32lbs and everything is going well.

Your bottom end can handle 10 second power, as long as your tuning is up to par.

Goodluck, and see you at the shootout, however I won't be entering just spectating.

Thats what I want to do is get the best 1/4mile pass with a stock bottom end! I have the money to build my motor! Im just having fun with it right now.
Yea I will see you there

Im still not sure on the clutch engagement! I have it disengaging around a 1" from the floor i hope that is enough. Any twin disc users please verify!!

Did shep cover the tranny under warrenty?

No because i added double synchro third and fourth. He did drop labor, I only had to pay for parts!
