11.7 @ 123mph stock block 1G

Well, last weekend I went 11.7 @ 123mph on the stock block with 180 xxx KM on it. This was on pump 94 and a mix of 75/25 meth/water.

60ft - 1.8391
330ft - 5.0741
1/8et - 7.6661
1/8mph - 96.38
1/4et - 11.7040
1/4mph - 123.01

I can probably do a sub 11.5 once i get the car to leave better, so im pretty happy. This was on 24lbs on a S258 0.70a/r. The rest of the setup is in the profile.

I need to do some more tuning, im still running very little timing and use straight meth instead of a mixing it.

I was leaving at 5000rpm with about 12lbs of boost, slipping the clutch. Lots of potential with these stock motors. Using AEM to tune. The car has no AC/PS/Heater I had the passenger and rear seats out. Otherwise, all full weight.. just a CF hood.

How does my slip look? Where should I try and make some improvements? I think its got a few more tenths left in it at this power level.. If not i will just turn up the boost once i run the straight meth, its great stuff.

Thanks.

On the S258? How much boost were you running and when did you hit full boost?

Another note, AFR's are in the mid 10's and IAT's peaked around 99 deg. Car was getting a bit heatsoaked, IAT's were 70-80 most of the day, but this was the last pass, and the only pass i managed a sub 2.0 60ft, mostly 2.3 2.4 all day, Im getting used to the EVO III 1st still. I could probably pick up some power by leaning it out.

Good time! You have more in it with more boost and leaner A/F. The stock bottom end can take more then your throwing at it so no worries there. Also see if you can better your 60ft time as well. You can get that thing deep in the 11's with more boost and better 60ft.

Ill be heading out again friday.

I got my new laptop working with a serial to usb to connect to the AEM, so I can do some logging (old laptop that had serial was so slow and old, battery wouldn't hold a charge so no logging). This way I can better view the AFR's for better tuning adjustments, I will be running more boost as well as the straight meth instead of a mix.

I also have some wheels from a 95 TSI that I might throw on it, the ones I have on it now are from a 98 TSI (17") and there SO heavy.

I will be happy with a 11.4 on this motor, however im happy now.
