from what i have been reading, the wiessco (sp) piston in #3 went and took out the aluminum rod.
i sure wish he would post up in here, i hate to give false info, after all , it is his car not mine lol.
i got banned from the local site (i left anyways, but anywho) or i would pm him and ask him to post some info here.

There are so many threads up about the MIR event it's tuff to keep up haha.
Anyway, #3 piston broke the pin boss clean off the piston, the entire bottom half of the piston is gone! In result it broke #3 R&R aluminum rod, bent 4 valves, and the crank is toast as well
we are working around the clock right now to get this thing back up and running for the Vegas BOTI event next weekend. It's going to be close, but we might beable to pull it off in time. Wish us luck guys!

I saw your post on IMS Jake, and I'm sorry that happened. Sucks man. Have you decided what pistons you're going with this time around?

How many passes did you get on those rods? How many on those bearings?
Your engine sounded sweet in that video, at least you can tell its a 4g unlike sheps car that just whales.
Is that a 2g dash?(glass of course) Didn't see your car online getting an overhaul/gut like that.
Keep it up man, GL!

Did the turbo survive the carnage? I had a wrist pin break off a piston one time and it ate a 35R.
Good luck on getting it running in time

It's a staging hydraulic hand brake. I use this to stage the car and preload the drive train.

I don't mind at all man, we got the crank done the other night, getting ready to take it to my machinist to have balanced and polished here in about 10 minutes. Saturday night we filled the block with hardblock, Arias pistons will be here in the morning along with a set of groden aluminum rods. So we should have it back up and running on Wednesday Wish we could have done a methanol motor this time around but time is not on our side and either is funding in that short period of time.
