First time to track with car. 14b 15psi 13.8
My mods are current in my profile, which I really dont have any mods. It was hot as hell and as you guys can see I dont have a FMIC or even air intake hard pipes. my best run was a 13.8, .144RT, 1.8 60 FT, with trap speed of 95MPH. Sorry I dont have the slip, I dont have a scanner but I will try to post it up somehow. Im hoping if I get a FMIC and an intake pipe it will drop me a little lower. But all in all I am pleased with the car being that it is at stage 0.

sounds about right...good job. FMIC, some good tuning, little more boost and you can get low 13's/high 12's im sure.
Keep pushing
just as an example...i went from 13.9 at 96mph on my small 16g to 12.8 at 106 with just dsmlink, supra sidemount, and meth injection.

Thanks guys, I was just a little dissapointed because everyone local kept telling me with just exhaust and a mbc @15lbs I shouldve been able to run low 13's.

Nice times! I didn't do half as well at the track my first time. . That was so long ago though! I'd invest in a logger or dsmlink so that you can play safe. Have fun and keep us updated!

This thread gives me hope. .
A local forum I posted asking what I might run with my setup and I got "high 14's to low 15's" as responses.
I have a web street grind cams, safc2, wideband, afpr, fmic, spec stg3, 3" TBE, 2g MAS, 2g exhaust manifold/O2 housing, turbonetics VBC @15psi, stock 14b, and some other random small things.

I noticed you had an AWD. I'm putting in a full turbo back 3", ported 14b, 1g tb, and later an evo IX fuel pump. According to the previous owner it ran mid or high 14's (I can't remember) with no more than FMIC, hard IC pipes and an SP2 catback. Obviously 60' times are going to be worse with a FWD but how should this setup compare with SnowBird's?

Yeah man it all depends on the driver. If it's only your first time at the track or so you shouldn't expect to run the best times that your car can "potentially" acheive. Once you get better at launching and shifting from track experience you can expect more. He ran a 13.8 on mostly stock 14b that means he drove pretty well. Especially on a hot day with no fmic, that's very respectable.

Well I've been a good 15 times, running about 10 times each, so I have some time under my belt
Launching and shifting isn't a problem at all, my only problem is 1st to 2nd gear takes a second. It's like the tranny doesn't want to cooperate. But I'm probably going to create a thread about it as to not highjack the OP's thread.

Thanks man. The fact it was super hot and that I have no FMIC is my excuse for getting beat by a STI The 13.8 was the BEST time I could get that day, I kept running low 14's due to the infamous 1st to 2nd shift problems. Funny thing is the 13.8 was the first run of the day. I really think all the weight reduction done to the car is helping out. Also, I need to update my mods, I no longer have a O2 dump, I have a 1G O2 with a really crappy porting job; and my 14B hotside is no longer ported, I swapped it out for a 16G hotside that isnt ported yet, but I plan on doing it.

I ran friday Night at th Richmond track near me. I had good launches. but the fastest i ran was a 14.28 with a 2.1 60' time. I'm running stock boost with the mods i have in my profile with creep getting to about 15psi. is there something i should be checking? I do have one pinhole leak in the J-pipe in a weld. Could that be it?
