Ok... I went the the track today expecting to run low 8s.... am I just expecting too much? or do you guys think I am doing something wrong? Here is my best time slip for today:

.696 - Reaction
1.903 - 60'
5.483 - 330'
7.956 - ET @ 594'
8.519 - 1/8 ET
79.80 - 1/8 MPH

My mods are in my profile.... are these times about right, or should I be pulling lower times? btw, my MBC was set at 17psi (93 octane and Stock sidemount)... help! :(

yeah, i think you are right... i was just looking over them too.... i think if i can get my hands on a fmic (or supra sidemount) and a dsmlink or something, i think that would help a lot! :)

that and your 60ft' s are killing you. I think that if you were to pull off a 1.7 or even a 1.8 you could get a low 8 easily...

Just found an old slip from 11/2000 for the 2G with a stock SMIC and T28 on 18psi that looks very similar to yours. Looks like you should be well into the 13s, especially with the Big16G. Drop the 60' and you are golden.

My slip:
60' - 1.673
330' - 5.424
1/8 - 8.531
MPH - 80.71
Ended up running [email protected]

You got a decent amount of mods. Get that FMIC, tune her up and you should have a pretty mean car.

was this the sunday i was supposed to go ? thats extremely close to what i run, would have been fun, did i meet u before 1 night at the track, u and a guy that had a 1g fwd talon?

heh, yeah, that was me.... where were you that Sunday anyway? i really think that one of my problems was my tires.... they were spinning pretty bad (I found that I only have about 30% tread!! ick!) oh well!! :) I think that I could have gotten a little bit better time, since i was just getting used to my new 2600, but by that time, they were shutting everything down! :) well... better luck next time, eh? LOL

For your mods, 93 octane and 17psi, that is actually a good time. You should be happy with it. With good race gas, you should be able to run over 20psi and get low 8s, maybe 7s with a good 60 ft. time.
You should be happy with that time.

Hmm.. still, with your mods you should be a little faster. I guess it was because of that launch.. I don't have the timeslip sitting infront of me, but my Talon ran an 8.40@81mph w/ a 1.78 60'. You get that 60ft down into the 1.7s and you'll probably run 8.3s. Maybe your car needs to lose some weight or something? Are you full interior?
