okay ive been to the track a few times and im really starting to get frustrated with my car. All i want to do right now is run a 13. So far ive been able to run a damn 14.0 but thats my best, one of my time slips are posted below, the others seem to have been deleted off of here but maybe somebody can help me by looking at this one. I think i have a few different problems. The first problem i have is that right when i get to the finish i have to shift into 4th gear (at around 106mph) and i think thats huring me. I was wondering if i shifted earlier into 4th would it hurt me or help me. One of my friends looked at my timeslips and noticed from 1000ft mark to the end of the 1/4 (another 320ft) it took me another two seconds to reach that point, so does that mean Im running out of steam in higher rpm's? any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. I know i need to be tuned, im running 12psi on an evo 16g. i eventually would like to reach 12s but right now im just trying to break 13s and on one of my runs i trapped at 107 which should at least be a 13 second run but this damn front wheel drive is ridiculous.

(Im allowed to say this as I have to suffer fwd traction issues as well
). More then likely if you just got your 60 ft down abit, that would be the little bit you need. What was your 60 on the 14.0 run? My first time at the track I was able to manage a 13.9 out of the evoIII at 106.2 mph. So looks like you have the mph, just have to work on the launch/traction. I believe my 60 was 2.3 something when I ran that time. I too have to shift into fourth, which doesn't help your time either. More then likely your running out of steam if your going right to 7500 in third, so it may be better to shift abit earlier, say around 7000. Play around with this abit & see what works best for you. Other then whats been mentioned work on your traction mods, good tires, urthane motor mounts, lowering springs (stiff rears), adjustable shocks, LSD, etc. all help get the 60 down. The easiest method would be to swap the street tires to drag radials or slicks, which should make the biggest difference in the traction department.
