We only got one pass at Quaker City tonight due to the intercooler blowing apart for the eleventy-billionth time, but it was a reasonable one. Tire pressure was a little high and it spun through first and a little at the top of second pulling another crappy 1.60 60 foot, yet still going 6.28 at 118.5 through the 1/8th. Apparently it blew the intercooler sometime during the pass but who knows when, which is kind of interesting. The log cut off for some reason right as I pulled through the water box so there's no log of the pass. Still very conservative on the tune.

Wow! Very nice pass. Whats your setup if you don't mind me asking? Also, any vids?:thumb:

congrats on the new time Andrew! Glad to see you are getting that thing down the track in one piece again. Now go get a good intercooler and run some low 9's. Buschur racings new intercooler is pretty bad ass. If you have the money you definately would benefit from it.

Congrats man, your car is an animal. How much boost were you running on that pass? whats your fuel setup?

That was about 44psi until the intercooler blew apart of course. The fuel system consists of an in-tank Walbro feeding an in-line Walbro and 1600's. Pretty simple.

thats always a simple and yet nice setup. i think i'm going to head toward the samething.

walbro 255 intank and walbro inline.

i got 1000cc's right now but think i'll sell those and go bigger.

i dont plan on making those kinda times though but always good to have room to grow ;)

congrats

i wanna see some pics of this blown IC haha. soo let me get this straight you've blown an IM and now an IC . . . sheesh.

Thanks again guys! Oh that's not the first time I've blown apart an intercooler. We're probably at 10+ and counting now. If the video is not up by tomorrow, $hit's gonna hit the fan.

Congrats Andrew. Awesome job.
Maybe now people will believe the et's you had on pump.

I finish my 7th and hopefully final year of school in June, so maybe it's possible I'll be tagging along to see you break into the 8's in person and not by internet video footage.
I'd like to apologize again for my lack of availability, would've loved to have lent any lowly helping hand these past two years. I know... I suck. -BTW, big effin party in June, everyone's invited.

thats crazy. whats causing them to Blow apart just bad welds?

It's alright Zack, still pretty ghey though ;).

Yep, the intercooler is just blowing apart due to the welds. I'm hoping to have that problem solved by Friday for the next track event.

Do you have any recent pics of the car?

I'd suggest duct tape and JB weld for the intercooler. Don't cheap out on the duct tape though go for the 153mph rated stuff, I think that is the red color????

Is the core that is splitting on you nate from the same manufacturer that my core is from that keeps splitting?
