I ran my car at the track IN oct. I ran a 15.8 at best with a stock talon tsi awd with no mods at all. Is this normal. And not to mention it was the day I got the car so I really didnt have the manual tranny down yet. how bad was my time really?

The MPH is about right for a stock, aged AWD car. The 60' time is OK for a newB, but if you get more aggressive with the clutch you should get that under 2 seconds, if the clutch isn't old and worn out. Shift faster and the times will drop, if the old tranny will let you. Practice and get familiar with the car and the times will come down.

It was my first time driving the manual Like a maniac LOL and Plus I wasnt good at shifting or anything. Right now with the free mods done and A MBC Ill run a 15.2 I hope

Coincidentally I got a 92 Tsi AWD last October and took it to the track stock to see what it would do. I have some experience in the 1/4 mile. With NO mods, original 95k mile old clutch, five year old bald snow tires I did a best of 15.28 @ 88.6 MPH, and a 2.1 60' time. A good condition stock 1G AWD should do high 14's with a really good driver.
One month later I went back with a K+N filter, fuel pump, free mods, race gas and MBC set to 18 psi and went 14.1 @ 96.2 MPH with a still slow but good-for-having-old-tires and-worn-out-clutch 60' time of 2.04 So I think you should be in the 14's, too.

My first time at the track with my 1990 GSX, I ran a 14.94 bone stock.
Here is my slip:
R/T- .54
60'- 2.23
330- 6.34
1/8- 9.64
MPH- 74.60
1000- 12.46
1/4- 14.94
MPH- 89.87
I was braket racing so I let off the gas before the end so I wouldn't break out. My Dial in time was a 14.8 as you can see in the pic.
