Well after making a few changes with the car we headed back out to the track to have at it again. This time I had the MSD DIS2 hooked up and was using the MSD 2step. MUCH BETTER! Car came out of the hole alot better, BUT! The track prep was nothing but crap, car spun through 1st, 2nd and bits of 3rd, you will hear the RPM's in 3rd gear in the video. 1st pass of the day it went 9.61 @153mph with a 1.611 60ft, Car just would not hook up at all and still managed this on my 2nd pass, then the rain started to come down..

this was on 41lbs and 100shot for spool.

60ft. 1.524
330ft. 4.183
1/8th. 6.321
MPH 120.65
1000. 8.086
1/4 9.573
MPH 152.33

I need to get a hydraulic hand break for the car so when pre loading the clutch it won't roll through the beams. E-brake is just not holding it anymore as you will see on the 1st pass, 2nd pass I was able to keep the car from creeping on me while preloading the clutch.

No editing to the video, too lazy at this point LOL.

Did you upgrade any of the gears in the transmission yet? I know you were building them yourself but didn't think you went with a dogbox yet or any axle upgrades or did you?

I would like to know this as well. Nice pass

Have you look at a line lock. I am having the same problem, I notice most domestic clutch cars us them. Just need more info on how I would run the lines to lock all 4 wheel instead of two. Will keep you posted I might have to you two line locks

Still using the same transmission as I did last season, it's all OEM parts from the all the best years put into on, double 2nd gear, heavy duty 3/4 gear stack, and evo steal shift forks.

Still on a stock t-case, driveshaft, and front and rear axles and stock 4 bolt rear end:thumb:

Thanks guys!

OEM "green cup" axles I presume or are you using parts store remans? Since its a synchro tranny its a street car. Thats my definition anyways LOL! Good job keeping it together, however you manage to do it.

Yup, OEM green cup axles, I'm just waiting for the day for all this stuff to shatter LOL

Well for what its worth I can snap a raxles or parts store reman on demand. I actually lost the shaft on the short passangers side axle last fall doing a third gear pull on the highway on my much slower FWD. I broke the shaft not the cup on a reman axle. I know shep ran pretty fast on OEM green cups up front and I haven't had any problem on them either. Now out back, in your AWD, I dunno man maybe its the preloading of the clutch that is saving you.

You know what your doing. When you start having problems you'll figure it out, its just interesting to me how far this stock stuff can go.
