I currently have a dodge stealth TT that runs 12.70's
I am buying a 2g and was wondering what or how much money I will need to dump to be around or even better then 12.70's

Make sure you get AWD. It's much easier to put it into the 12's than a FWD. You'll need a bigger turbo, nothing huge. Even the 14B has done 12's, but a T28 uprade would be a nicer choice, and easier to install. Get a full exhaust, 2.5" will do. Replace the upper intercooler pipe and BOV at the same time. A stock first gen BOV will hold plenty of pressure, and if you get the urge to go faster it can be "crushed" so it holds more boost. Add a K+N filter, boost controller and boost gage, some free mods and you should be there if the clutch can hold up. Check the parts guide on this site for recomended upgrade path and prices. There are a lot of other parts available to put these cars into the 11's in daily driver form. If you want to go that route plan ahead when upgrading.
