Gear at the line

I was wondering which gear are you guys in at the finish line? I'm pretty much stock, and when I'm crosing the line I'm redlining third. Does this depend on the mods?

After reading some posts here, I was quite happy with my ET, considering I'm stock. It was a cold day though (10 C). I ran this launching at about 4800, and regular shifting:

Thats a great time for stock dude!!! Im usually very close to the top of 4th at the end of my run. Of course I dont know exactly where the line is cause Im usually staring at gauges so maybe its a bit over estimated.... but definetly well into 4th

When my Talon AWD was stock I'd go thru the traps at 88 mhp at the top of third. When I modded a little I finished at 96 mph and found it better to shift to fourth. I think you're right on the border between staying in third or shifting to fourth. Best way to solve that issue is to do some mods and go faster!

My 92 goes through the traps at 112MPH and that is close to the top of 4th. Don't know rpm since my tach/speedometer is oh so off when i race.

My 96 goes through at 103MPH which is bottom-middle of 4th. I know when I revved out 3rd, at 7500rpms, I would trap 100MPH.

that is a good time for stock. my car stock ran a 14.77@ 91.2.....it can only get better man. good job. oh, I'm usually in 3rd when I trap. Until extensive modding is done, I don't se a reason to go into 4th.....it would be nice tho.

a good reason would be that your T25 runs outta breath after 5500rpm in 3rd so from then till redline ur loosing boost.

I had that problem, until the turbo upgrade... now it holds till redline just fine!

112 MPH is not even close to the top of 4th. At 7500 rpm I got 132 mph!

T6Rocket, like I said, my speedo/tach is really off. Hell, my speedo reads 95 when I go through the traps so if you can hit 12 at 7500, then my tach is just as bad!! Nice!
