First day at track, with my GS-T, need tire advice

Hey guys, I took my eclipse out to 1/8th mile today, didn't get any times, just wanted to do a few fairly easy runs on the track..


I spin to like 70mph, I want some drag radials, what are some good and cheap drag tires???

What size rims are those? I imagine a stock sized wheel and tire combo with a decent summer performance tire even, would greatly improve your traction...

Oh, those are 18s, and yeah, I have my stockers, want to mount them on the 16s, summit have any good stuff? Ill drive over...

Your best bet would be to switch to the stock rims shod with slicks. Check out DragRaceTire.com and SummitRacing.com

The BFGoodrichs are cheaper and in stock and .70 Inches wider, SO I can have them for next weekend...

I think I'm going with BFGoodrich on the stock rims

255/50R16 ??? 225/55R16 is 9.20 Inches wide, what's the max I can squeeze in there??

The BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radials are excellent tires. They should fit your car, but I'm not completely sure either. Honestly, what I would do is call Tire Rack, as I know that they carry the complete line of BFGoodrich g-force tires. Their customer service is excellent, and they will be able to answer just about any fitment question you can throw at them.

I had the same problem spinning into 3rd on shitty low end radials.I just bought some toyo t1r and there incredible how well they hook.I guess ill see how well at the track this weekend.
