so my question is. do i need to double clutch in a race. or am i fine just holding in both the clutch and the gas all the way to keep up speed while im racing. my way has worked really well so far. im just woundering if its better the other way.
i just top the car out. hold the gas and clutch and shift, works all the time.

Double clutching is for trucks with unsynchronized transmissions. You can do it, but you're only slowing yourself down, unless your synchros are going out is about the only time it might be beneficial to double clutch.

these tranys are not really that acceptable to a true no-lift-to-shift as it sounds like you are doing. however, it is a good way to have the opertunity to do some trany work in the near future if you keep it up.

Just wondering, what do you mean by "double clutching" anyway?
