Mountain Park Dragway had its final Car Wars event today.
My first qualifying pass was a dismal 13.3 @ 109; I spun horribly through 1st, then missed 4th.
2nd Q pass was a little better: 12.5 @ 110
There were approximately 20 cars attempting to qualify for the Compact PA class, I Q'd 8th.
Elimination rounds, since the car I was racing was about 4tenths quicker, I made a hard shot at the tree, and redlighted. Finished that run 12.4@111
Fast cars worth mentioning: 97 Neon turbo ~11.76, Audi turbo A4 ~11.2 1G AWD 12.01, (another) 1G AWD 12.3, 95-ish Prelude ~12.2
The weather was gorgeous, and although I did not bring home any trophies, it was a nice way to end a great summer of racing.
