Alright let me throw the disclamier out there..that this was my first time to the track EVER! so bare with me on my Reaction times

This was done on my Stock 97 Black GSX. Everything is stock, but new pluges and some Accel wires and a boost gauge. Also with a clutch that is slippen a little.

First two runs i couldnt get the damn thing in 3rd..grinding like a whore.

First run.

R.T .747
60 2.045
330 6.166
1/8 9.779
MPH 64.747

2nd run

R.T .512
60 2.102
330 6.281
1/8 9.934
MPH 66.105

3rd Run (My best for me)

R.T .363
60 2.027
330 6.231
1/8 9.797
MPH 69.414

Well i had a hell of a time..These runs were to see what my car does stock. Then i am going to mod it and compare. Some constructive thoughts would be nice. Thanks

I believe thats a little slow for a GSX, I think stock is ~9.5 with decent driving. I don't know though I'm WWD. For future refrence, you should post other info such as elevation, barometer, overall track conditions if you want realistic observations from the community.

Other than that just remember you are racing to have fun.

well damn..that is a shot in the foot. I really thought i did okay. I was hoping for 9.5's tho. Anywho this is what is wrong with my car currently that i think may have hindered the times.

Clutch is slippen bad at launch.
Lifter Tick is getting bad..I think its setting off my knock sensor
compression is 166,137(ewww),160,165. Dont know whats up with that
And my shifting needs alot of work...Remember the first 2 runs i couldnt even get it into 3rd.

Thanks for the thoughts tho. Keep them coming.

You are running a 9.7 with that? I think for a stock time that is pretty good. You *really* should start figuring out what is wrgon wtih that 137 piston though.

*Sigh* I can't talk. I think I have a coolant leak
