Hey guys, I raced at the track for the first time ever in Englishtown, and ran a 14.079, my best of 2 runs. I thought for sure id be in low to mid 13's, a little disappointing.

r/t - .479
60' - 2.125
330 - 5.825
1/8 - 9.007
mph- 78.10
1/4 - 14.079
MPH - 95.13

half tank of 93 octane, weighing about 3300 lbs, 14b @ 16 psi, street tires. oh and i realized later that my A/C was on for both runs.. does this slow us down on our cars?

I think my 60' might be a tad slow for being AWD, but its only about the 3rd time ive tried launching an AWD car. I launched at about 5k and got a little wheel spin. Does anyone have any tips for me for my next run? After looking around it seems that with practice i could possibly get the 60' down to 1.8 which would put me in the 13.7 range. I am also thinking about turning up the boost slightly to 18 psi. I will also put in some 115 octane gas perhaps, how much would this help me? Any help or comments about where i am losing the most time would be appreciated. Thanks!

Those numbers really don't sound that bad considering you really don't have a great deal of mods. I definitely would not have expected low - mid 13's with those mods, which may be why you were disappointed.

Practice your launch. Don't take it up to 5,000 rpm and then just dump the clutch. Ease it out, ride it a little, try to keep your tires on the brink of breaking traction while keeping your boost up.

Race gas shouldn't really help too much with a 14b and 18 psi. Maybe a little though. I would personally like to see what a car does in full street trim.

Yeah, turn the AC off too.

Good run.
