Defiants replies make me laugh..As you may hate him, i'm sure there are many other people on this site who do not, so keep those comments to yourself..

i think the TEL car is a hybrid considering it has a domestic exterior(created by chrysler) and an imported engine/drivetrain(created in japan). But, to say that it is truely domestic is like saying some of the mercedes lineup is brazilian since the lather of them which come to North America are built there. I dont think so.

Back on topic. The rims look GREAT and they should serve their purpose well. Good luck! :thumb:

anything domestic means produced in the USA, no?

so methinks being produced in Normal, IL makes us domestic. but with that tYt3 JDM engin3 p0w3r y0! :)

the 2g talons are most confused, BTW.. the cars have all 3 emblems on the car somewhere

technically your right

but who cares, theres always a jerk on everyboard and i have noticed that over 50% of his post are negative, poor guy maybe he needs a hug or a bigger turbo ROFL

to read the manufacturer's build sheet, which reflects the amount of effort Chrysler went through in order to get this rating from the Federal Government and allow themselves to sidestep import tariffs and use the T/E/L line toward their Corporate Average Fuel Economy numbers:

However, like the 50/50 AWD torque split, the impossibility of installing a V6, and how RWD won't work, it's just one of those facts we have to "prove" here on an ongoing basis.

Well, let's see now. Your 71 posts of doing nothing but asking questions compares to 50% of my posts on the order of .008%. Not quite a drop in my ocean. As you look around, you'll see that instead of playing with cars, most of my time here has been subducted into herding newbies, consolidating "what's my car worth?, Quick Help!" and similarly non-sensical posts, trying to get the world to return to a semblance of civility, and in the case of posts like yours, underlining their foolishness.
But as you say, who cares. There's alway a jerk on what you call "everyboard" [sic]. Nice of you to introduce yourself.

Are you serious?

1995badgsx - Those looks very mean on there. How much did that set-up run you? How much do those Centerline's weigh? I too, recently picked up a set of MT slicks (not radials like yours) , but I had them put on a set of ugly wheels, not pretty one's like yours. I got my set-up for about $320 though. Not too bad. I'm going to test fit them on the car either today ot tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll make it to the track sometime next week with my car again.

I think Defiant is hilarious, plus he only responds in a sarcastic way when someone asks a question they should have known, or were too lazy to lookup.

Keep it up Defiant.

Danny :talon:

they weigh 12lbs each, summit sales them for 125.99 each (which is awesome) they are 15x7 5 inch back spacing and they just barely clear my gsx calipers, i thought i would have to grind a bit off but i didnt, i havent used the wheels at the track but the last time i went i was 200lbs heavier, had no nitrous, stock suspinion, stock trans, [email protected]

now i got shep trans, tein suspinion, 100shot direct port plus the weight lost, im hoping for at least 10.4's @140, i hope your wheels fit good, post a pic afterwards.

and defiant, sounds like you need more wrench time and less internet time, and before you say it yes i built mine, yes i tuned it and yes i race and yes i bought and paid for it all, so dont get cocky about dsm's just because your a "moderator", when you get your car in the 10's then talk shit about how awesome you are but until then read, study, act childish, and post smartass comments when you should be supportive to your dsm crew, the post was intended to show mustang/camaro style wheels on a dsm which you hardly ever, ever see on any import, but thank you for all the awesome information youve given me and our fellow dsm'rs, because i know without you my car would have never ran.

with your attitude you belong on a damn HONDA board

what did i ask?????

lets see NOTHING!

Oh yea I love the wheels they really look good on your car. But aren't they heavy?

Danny

Let's just ignore the thread title and focus on the content.

No, 12 lbs. is not heavy at all. My steel 15's weight more than that. :shhh:
Anything that weighs less that a stock wheel (which I believe is 17 lbs), I would consider an improvement.

I've never put my rims on a scale but I did not think that they weighed that much. I was thinking they were around 10 pounds without the tire.

For the original poster: Very nice looking wheels, can't wait to hear about you breaking into the tens with those bad boys.
For Defiant haters: We all have a love hate relationship with defiant, the reason he is here is because
A. He is the only one old enough to actually know the whole dsm history so he can fill everyone in :tease: (just a joke)
B. He is the only one old enough to be retired and spend lots of time on this site herding newbies, making smart comments, and locking stupid threads (half joking)

Looks aggressive with the new wheels....nice car :thumb:

Defintly should be in the 10s with that 129mph trap speed ...good luck :dsm:
