Sup guys and girls jus curious to know some or ur 1/4 times while u was on or am still on the 14b :thumb: Im going to the track soon to run my car so i wanna c how my times will be compared to u guys....Im running 15lbs of boost, 02 dump, full 2.5 exhaust, prothane motor mounts and brand new bridgestone potenza 225 tires....i think my hardest part will be tryna get a good 60' time....well guys post up and keep the responses coming :thumb:
 
i guess no dsms ever was ever 14b turboed and fwd...and ran at the track huh? :mad:
 
14.09 @101 w/ 2.48 60'

thats w/ 1990 fwd, 14b, hack mass/air can, kn filter, mbc set at 18, 100 octane, and 245/50/16 nitto drag radials on the front wheels, also fuel pump rewire.

car bogged down hard due to, too much traction, its a 13.80 car on the street.
 
I ran a 15.3@93 with my first dsm.It was a auto with a k&n filter,ac belt delete,2 1/2 mandrel dowpipe and adding a little timing.I beat 14 sec cars all day with it.The time was done with a 14b@11lbs and no brakeboost.
 
im sorry that doesnt make any sense. you ran a 15.3, but you beat 14 second cars all day?? sorry just dont make sense to me


anyways i ran a 14.7@93 with a 14b with only the mods in my profile
 
there's a timeslip in my profile.

Was done at the 2002 shootout at about 9am. Car has run many 14.2-14.4 times at 104+ but my transmission cost me an easy .5 on the way down the track if not more. Hopefully once I get this turbo transmission in the car I can get some more times at 20psi on pump and when I finish my fmic off I'll get some 24psi race gas runs in just to see what kind of mph I can squeeze out of this thing.

was this done with a FWD? its just that sounds more like a AWD run basing it on the trap speed and ET., but if so... thats a real nice slip.

Anyhow, I ran 15.3@91 a long time ago in my bone stock (at the time) 90 GST, I haven't been to the 1/4 mile track in long time, but I'll try to get alot better with my modded yet still 14b powered FWD. wish me luck :D

Your trap sounds high for a bone stock car were you shifting in to forth?

I mustered up a 15.34@88 w/a 2.13 60' last weekend only mods were fuel pump rewire and a k@n filter. Car has 126,xxx mi and just had a fresh mobil 1 oil change.Right after that i went home tore it a part and the turbo is chewed up on the intake side and had shaft play.So since then i ported the exhaust manifold, 02 housing and im ordering one of the fancy ported big 16b,s.

LOL, i seen 12,something at 101 mph and almost fell out of my chair if you trap that in a fwd with street tire youll be low 14,s high 13,s

From a roll it was no problem.A foxbody mustang has low end torque instantly i didnt have from a stop(turbo's do have to spool).
 
I ran a 15.4 at 92mph in my 90 GST with free mods and clutch. I need to really start modding... :coy:

okay im sorry im not trying to start anything but from what your top thread said, i taught you meant that you ran a 15.2 but where beating 14 second cars. now that just doesnt sound right 15>14 so how did you beat them(just thinking in my head) sorry i didnt know you meant that you raced those so called 14 second cars on the street

Thats not the best time on a FWD, But very good!!! Mad props to you for maxing out your 14b...!! you HP and Torque numbers are real good :thumb:

If he is going from a roll and beating these cars on the street, im not sure where the misunderstading is? A crappy 60' time makes a 600hp car a 13 sec machine with a killer mph. You will see alot of unexperianced Supra owners with massive traction problems run a mid 12 at over a 120+

I see what your saying completely.....but he is only trapping at 93mph. It just seems a little odd thats all. I'm not saying it's not true, because it very well could be, it's just different.

The car would more than likely boost creep once in a while.I ran 16.1@ 97 2 weeks earlier brakeboosting.Down here in fl our climate is at sea level which is really good for our cars.
