New DSM owner challenged

Hey all...I just bought my first DSM...93 laser RS turbo AWD... auto trans w/some mods installed.. anyway this guy that I know (not necessarily *like*, though) challenged me to a race at/local drag strip.. and get this..hes running a 1979 Ford reg cab F-150 pickup w/a built 351 motor..edelbrock intake, demon carb, auto trans... he swears he would beat me at the track...what do u guys think? Would he even have a chance..quarter mile.. or should i even bother, if just to brag... my mods: 2.5" turbo-back exhaust, hallman boost controller w/apexi guage, HKS air can, walbro 255 lph pump, + some freebies.

He might have a chance at you..no offense but 1g Autos arent that quick if you are on stock turbo (13G)..but who knows run em at the track and let us know what happens.

But we don't do bench racing here.
