I ask because I want to know if I can push my car even further. It ran a 14.5 at 94mph. I think if i ran a leak test and learned to launch a little better I could get my car to run like a 14.3 or something. How many times must you run down the track to find out if its the car holding you back and not the driver?

Is it possible to have a bad driver in an AWD ? Driver error is much less then say a FWD.

i cut a 1.9 60' time and i think that was kinda slow, but i think it was cause my tires were spinning. i got new tires now and i think i can pull a 1.8 or so.

I agree, I have yet to spin my tires off a launch (dry that is) in my GSX, and we have similar mods. The most I've done is chirped the tires.

How the heck did you spin the tires on a GSX?

well my rear tires had very low tread on them and they were h rated all season tires and they werent that great. i didnt launch hard, probably at like 4500 and i slipped the clutch, but i spun the fronts and the rear so it was bad. i think my friend has video of it.

now i got a good set of all seasons on there and im getting 17x8 rims and tires (summer tires) once it gets nice out.

oh and there was a lot of tire debris in at the line cause of the big dragsters warming up and throwing rubber all over the place and i think i just couldnt find traction.

yeah, its possible. bogging launches is easier because you need to give it more power coming off the line than in a fwd car, or at least thats what ive found between launching my car and my friend's gst. launching is no easy task. plus i think im waiting too long to shift. i think i should shift at 6500 instead of 7k.

It's actually very easy.

Yes it's become an increasing problem for me as of late. Cold weather sucks and losing traction in an AWD car is almost scary.
