90 tsi awd 5 spd, need advice,bought big 16 and exhaust w/2g manifold, there is a 1/8 mile track here, i ran a 8.55 w/a 1.90 60 ft time.
how do i go faster ? launch techniuqes ?
if i launch at 4500 it boggs, over 5500 its spins, bogging is producing better 60ft times than spinning, so whats the next single most important mod, and i need info on possibly slipping the clutch, i know if i can get into 1.7 60 ft times that will be the most i can get out the parts i have , sorry for the long post.

That's all ready a mid to low 13 sec pass right there so your not doing to bad!

What you need to go faster now is more fuel so you can run more boost

How much boost where you running on the 16g and stock fuel system???

If you get a new pump, bigger injecters and a S-AFC you will be able to turn up the boost and that should help your times out alot.

20 psi on 114 race gas, these mods should be good for 12.5's from what im told

20 psi on a 16g with stock pump and injectors?? wow

In order to hit a 12.5 you will probably need the full fuel system as i mentioned before and some kind of upgraded Intercooler + pipes

20psi with a stock fuel system is alot, I'd be careful....

hmm how's 5000 do? Last year I couldn't best a high 1.8 60' it ended up being my clutch disk was toast, almost down to the rivets. My technique is to rev to close to 5k, let out on the clutch until it's just about to disengage, then on the third yellow, pull up (not sidestep) and that usually works pretty well, but again there are so many variables from tires, to track conditions, camber settings, good strong clutch, etc. Most likely some practice will yeild lower numbers.

yes i have tried that as well as playing w/tire pressures, i managed a 1.84 and still spinning some, im thinking of trying the drag radials,225/50r15 nitto. thanks for the advice, ill actually start a thread about the drag radials after i get some track time w/them, i couldnt find anyone w/any input on the tires.
