14b GSX Auto times

Well, I went to the track last night since it was nice and cool to see what I could get. I have a 99 auto GSX with a 14b@17psi. The car was full weight with stock sidemount and on pump gas.

60ft - 1.809
330ft - 5.463
1/8ET - 8.513
1/8MPH - 80.21
1000'ET - 11.114
1/4ET - 13.345
1/4MPH - 102.74

Over all I was pretty pleased. My MPH increased by 3mph and my ET droped a tenth and a half. Some other highlights were a pass that was over 103mph and also managed a 1.7 60ft. To bad both of those didn't come together or it probably would have come close to the 12's.
One prob I ran into that I hope one of you can answer for me is this. I was building boost from a stop the whole night great. Spooled up fully in a matter of secs. As soon as I put in some race gas, it would not build boost nearly as fast. It was so bad my 60ft's droped to 2.2's. It would build fine once I was moving but not from a stop. How could race gas cause this? Thanks alot guys.

I also ran into the same thing with the addition of race gas at the track. I had to lean out the lower rpm settings for both low and high throttle on the AFC to compensate for the richer condition from the race gas. But only for the rpm's that I was trying to build boost off the line. (800 to 2800 rpm)

Holy moly! 1.8 short times on an auto? Must have launched with 17psi huh? That must have sounded like a jetliner about to take off! heh heh

Nice times--very quick for not having a fmic . What's your tuning setup?

I was launching at about 15psi on average. My tuning setup consists of a SAFC II and pocket logger. I am running 550cc injectors and a 190lph fuel pump.
