This is the first kill story I've ever posted so don't be too hard on me.
First kill is at the track, MIR and against a blue Mustang Mach 1. I don't know its mods but I expect it was pretty stock.
Sitting at the tree I'm looking over and he is dialing in a 14.10 whereas I'm dialing in a 13.89 so I know he'll get a little head start as well as .4 seconds just from his RWD launch to my FWD.
I launched on his tree to try and cut my reaction time down (I was pulling .3's prior to this run so I knew I needed to step it up) and out the hole he is a few cars lenghts ahead (.3 second advantage at the 60 foot, I ran a 2.4xx)
Im launching hard, hopping and I hit the shift into second, still spinning, shift into 3rd, these are all power shifts because of the no lift to shift feature in dsmlink, and by the 1/8 mile I'm literally flying past him.
He is 1/10 of a second behind but trapping 7 mph less at the 1/8. I'm waving as I go by, run out 3rd and shift into 4th.
Cross the line about 6/10's a second ahead of him with a 13.739 @ 109. So yeah, I broke out but it was my best run to date and made me very happy.
Second kill comes on the way home. I'm cruising along at 60 in the far left lane of a 3 lane road when a black Mustang GT pulls onto the road. Loud but nice sound to it. He looked young, couldn't really see because it was dark out, and cut in front of me, then drops a gear and cuts off the middle lane and jumps out ahead of the traffic.
Well after trapping 108 and 109 all day long at the track I decided to see how badly I'd roll a car that traps 9 mph less.
So I follow him out ahead of traffic, fly by and slow it down so he knows I'm there. He drops a gear instantly and takes off, I drop to 2nd at about 55 and burn it too bad to keep up. So I repeat, catch up, fly by, slow down.
And once again he drops it. But this time I drop into 3rd at about 60 and proceed to walk him so hard that by the time I'm at 4th gear he has backed off. He then ducks into the right lane and pulls off the road.
Guess I ruined his night. Oh well. I really love how the new mustangs look and wouldn't mind owning one, but too many people who drive them think they are in something too fast for a 4 cylinder.
Now in fall fairness, I just looked over my timeslips again and realized that my very first run was a loss to a Mustang GT. He went 13.1 @ 106 to my 13.9 @ 108. He had traction and some power, and from a roll I might even have a hard time keeping up. So I guess I went 2-1 against the Mustangs that night.
