Wow, someone help!

ok just got my car to teh track for the first time this past weekend, and well..... it was very upsetting, my 95 tsi ran a 10.34 in the 8th at 74mph, ony a exact second faster than my rs last year wit no mods!!! help....
ok heres the deal!
I tried to launch up spun down the WHOLE track.... tried to take off from 2k rpms so i could atleast get a jump, but still spun,
the 10.34 was ran when literally starting off from no rpms, and still spun 75% of the track.....
what can i do and were can i get some tires cheap.....
