First trip to a 1/4 mile track for me this past weekend in my daily driver 2G pig. Our local tracks are ill prepped and only 1000ft so we made the 3 hour drive to Mokan. Anyway, first pass was 11.9 @ 122 (20psi). On a nice wheel spinning 2.1 60ft. Second pass. 11.8 @ 122 with a still awful 1.98 60 ft (22psi). Not used to the new power. Next pass was an 11.52 @ 127 with yet another wheel spinning 60ft attrocity of 1.93 (25psi).

Guess its time for the stock suspension, stock wheels and stock tires need to be replaced. Plus, I need more track time to get used to the car again and get my 60fts down. Damn times look like an FWD. More boost next time as well. I felt that since I was cutting bad short times at these boost levels that there was no need in just making it worse.

The track was prepped well and the bad 60's and short times were 100% my fault. Here is the timeslip.

AWESOME!! Great times. This is really a daily driver?
I checked your site and I see a bolt-on turbo and a 2g mass air. Please give us a modification update.

Yeah its my daily driver. My wife has a car, and this is my car. The turbo is a PTE bolt on SCM61 with a P trim turbine instead of a T350 and still running an internal gate. Engine management is DSMLink and I am running a Hacked 2G MAF. All of the cars mods are on the specification page of my website. It still looks almost stock from the outside. The intercooler kinda gives it away but other than that it looks stock.

So I'm confused,

This is on the long rod 2.3?

Either way kick-ass times :thumb:

#### I should have built a stroker :( Your car is a amazing!

Thanks for the compliments. These times are for the long rod 2.4L in my 97 GSX. The Red 92 laser AWD is the 2.3L and its not done yet. But its getting really close.

Ok, I got it now.

It's stroker motor heaven at your place. :thumb:

I also noticed you are running a dual pump setup which is what I plan on installing soon. Are you using the dual pumps in the stock tank? Do you have any pics? I was going to use 2 walblow 255 hp's with a -6 feed and 850's.

Yes, I am using 2 Bosch -044's in the stock tank. I dont have any pictures but let me assure you that its a tight fit and it doesnt just slide right back in the tank. The walbros will fit easier than the bosch pumps, but you will still need to modified the sender bracket and tank baffle a little.

Yes very nice times and car. I'm assuming this at Mokans Import night? If so I believe I saw your car run. I was with the RSP Blue Supra that was in your class. What kind of problems did you start to run into after the 2nd round of qualifing? I was hoping you would give Brett a good run for the money.

Yeah I remember you guys. The RSP supra was flawless. After the second round of qualifying I started turning the boost up more and kept blowing IC pipes. The second round is when I ran the 11.5. I was wanting to get into the 10's but the clamps and pipes werent having it. The first was a t bolt that broke and then second was a worm clamp that exploded and took out one of my fog light holder. I've solved that problem now hopefully. I need to upgrade my IC piping. I'm still running the little 2.25 inch stuff that comes with the HRC front mount.

I was really hoping to give Brett a run or at least let it be he and I in the finals. To bad I got eliminated by the turbo/nitrous mustang in the semi's. My MPH was close to Brett's even though I was running only 25 psi. he was trapping 131 pretty much all night and I was always around 127, but he definately had me in the traction dept. His Hoosier QTP's vs my every day tires. I'm sure his car has more in it as well. I know mine does. I hope to make it back in August to at least get into the 10's. I have to miss the July event due to other plans.

Ah now that makes sense. Hopfully you can get everything figured out and get a good soild run. Oh and is it the cams that make your idle sound like that or the stroker motor? I'm putting those same cams in my car right now. :)

Its the cams plus the odd stroke of the long rod engine. I degreed the cams at zero, but dialed a little of the overlap out and narrowed the LSA and that is what the idle ended up being like. I love it.

jeff

I have been following your build up since you decided to do the long rod 2.4l.

this quote was taken from your site...

I don't really know if either of us have a purpose for building these cars other than they're fun to drive when they're not broken. The goal for my car used to be 600whp, not anymore. Too expensive, plus I'd rather dig my eyes out with a spoon than deal with the broken parts a car like that is going to generate. So, I've changed my tune a bit. Now, there is no hp goal, not 1/4 mile goal and not road course goal. The equation for finding the goal is me = happy. That's it. When the equation begins to look like me < happy, I will modify the car such that the equation once again becomes me = happy. Simple enough.

This sounds exactly what I tell everyone about my car. We have somewhat similar setups, I hope my car turns out as well as your car did. Good job on everything, and dont worry about the ETs yet the MPH is what really counts. :thumb:
