It's not anything to brag about, but I ran a 14.5 last night at Infineon Raceway. In fact all the dsm's there were having bad days, but the strange thing is I ran it at only at 89 MPH. for My car is completely untuned and has vacuum leaks which is why I suspect my trap speed was so low.

60ft: 1.881
1/8 Mile: [email protected] MPH
1/4 Mile: [email protected] MPH

So obviously my car is very much lacking in high-end power right now, but I'm amazed the times I was able to pull in spite of this. I guess I must credit the AWD launch. I look at the 1/8 mile time and think that's pretty good, but then seeing the MPH makes me go WTF?

Most likely you were knocking badly in 3rd gear and timing was being pulled like crazy resulting in loss of top-end. It has happened to me before, I have gone 14.7 at 87 mph.

i went 13.6@94 a couple weeks ago, the 240 i ran against went 13.8@103. when i shifted into 4th the motor felt like it jumped out of its mounts and made a real loud bang, but it wasnt a backfire.

No headwind that night, and it was alot of fun. I'm glad I went to Infineon.. now I absolutely hate Sacramento. The people there are asses who let the domestics get 3 or 4 runs in one call, then finally call the imports to run once. I'm never going back to Sac... the place is filthy, the announcer sucks, the race gas is sold out of a trailer rather from a pump, the roads are all unpaved, the employees are rude, and it costs like twice as much.

Infineon is the total opposite and the people are very fair. You get to run every 30 minutes or so instead of waiting 2 hours like Sac.

CanadianTsi thanks for the idea on the timing, I'm going to check it out.

Even though AWD isn't known for its top end, with that time slip your trap speed has to be alot higher. Stock a GSX traps 92MPH, so your car has some problems.

i've ran a 15.1 @68mph and a 13.9 at 90mph.. both thanks to detonating in third
