Ok, as some of you know...I drive a 4g93 mirage..and I'm so used to FWD launching...Well occasionally I'll take out my dad's GSX for some fun. Well I always get offers to race, and I always turn them down due to my ignorance to AWD launching. I've heard so many different techniques, but heres my worry!
The car is a 95 GSX, 180,000 miles (mostly highway) and it's on the second clutch...Now I've tried doing the feather thing before and I TOTALLY messed that up...but I'm worried about just dropping the clutch cause I don't want to majorly DESTROY his car, or destroy it at all! I have dropped the clutch in it before and it seemed to work real good, but after that incident I've had with the other "feathering" type launch, I've been afriad of launching the car ever since....
I heard drop the clutch at 5000
I hear feather it at like 3000....
So many choices, but I threw in specific information about the milage and that I think the clutch may be slipping JUUUUUSSSST a bit, and it's hardly noticable. It may not even be slipping at all...but what do you guys suggest me to do?
Sorry if you guys answer this question a lot....
any help is appriciated!
