get me into the 12's
hey guys.. well my second time at the track got me 13.35 @ 103 mph. very excited... ran 21 psi with race gas and a half a$$ tuning job. I was just wondering what i needed to do to help me break 13 and get into the 12's... Will practice make perfect or do i need to upgrade some equpiment to hit that mark? Im still running on teh SMIC and running 1.975 60 ft with a .240 reaction time. I'm guessing its my tuning job thats holding me back..

A FMIC should be a big help, I doubt the stock SMIC likes 21 psi to much.
I bet a FMIC and a solid tune will net you a 12

Work on your 60' more. It takes practice, but you will get there.
And I know people don't think the AWD needs a suspension, but go with a set of adjustables and lower it to get a better stance. Nothing ghetto, just get a more aggresive stance. Other than that, a nice FMIC will allow you to run over and over again to practice the 60' but the stock SMIC can get you into the 12's. It has for others, why not you!!

Hey guys I have a 1996 GSX, I am not 100% sure on all the mods it has, I recently bought it and spent a couple grand just fixing it up so it could even drive. I have a brand new clutch, 5 spd man, 16g turbo, K&N air intake, HKS Hi-power full exhaust 3" pipes to 4.5" tip, and a rebuilt motor. I am currently in the process of selling my Mustang Cobra, and once I get the money from that I am looking to add some mods to my GSX. I'd like to get it into low 12's. What else would I need? I am looking to buy a FMIC, a BOV, and a boost controller. If anyone knows where I can get some quality parts and at good prices or just some advice, help would be appreciated!

Just go through the upgrade paths on buschurracing.com roadraceengineering.com and here. Plenty of info to get your car 12's capable. You're on the right path though. Going to possibly need fuel injectors and tuning of some sort if you want to run higher than stock boost levels on that 16g. Holy thread resurrection batman.
