when i went to the track for my first time 2 weeks ago, the best i could run was a 16.8. i was pretty schocked to be that high, i assumed id be at a 15.5- 15.8. after thinking about it i realized that most of my launches sucked. what is the best way to launch. i was launching at 3xxx rpm because anything higher the tires would spin. my shifts were fairly fast, i didnt get out of third.

I think thats the right time for a N/T unless it has some serious mods you aren't going to be touching 15's anytime soon.

i figured with the header, cai and full cat back i would be a high 15. guess not.

With those modfications I would think you would at least hit low low 16s. Try to slip the clutch, not dump it.

yeah I could see low 16s or MAYBE 15.9 if you get your launch down. find out where your power band ends and shift at the end of it so you stay in it. If you shift at that and get your launch down you should lower your time. goodluck

my power band is from 4xxx - 6xxx rpm. the second cam is engaged then and if i shift at 6xxx the revs will drop to 4xxx and the second cam will still be engaged. does that sound right?
