Need more power

ok so me and a bunch of friends were racing tonight. 1st race was an avenger and i stomped him. it was auto, had a cai but the filter was realllly dirty, and was a v6. next race was another avenger. cai, 4cyl, 2.0 dohc. he had probably 5 links on me. i wanna know how to gain hp cheap and fast. any ideas. my talon is completely stock.

Buy a turbo dsm and stop street racing. Its not liked much around here.

cheap easy power? your best bet is invest in taking pride in your vehicle. Clean the air filter or replace it, oil changes on time... TURBO but that usually not cheap...

Bought my turbo DSM for $450. See if you can find a cheap one. Even if it's a bit banged up you can use your current car as a donor car.

dont waste your time on non turbo ( better to save and get a turbo dsm)

ok what ill do is look for a cheap turbo 1g dsm. id like an awd but it will be hard to find one cheap. but for now ill probably get a short ram air intake and headers. if i do that, does anyone know about how much hp ill end up with if i get decent parts?

This has been outlined many many times on this site. The upgrade paths have been around for years. The VFAQ has been around for DECADES. There are about a hundred dedicated DSM vendors who can suggest good parts to put on your car for proven gains.

And if your uncle had a decent track on his property with timing equipment, you wouldn't need to gauge your losses in lengths.
