Lately i've been seduced by the siren of muscle, and this is what im thinking.
A foxbody mustang, 5.0 style, with a 460 swap but stroked out to 532 cubes.:shhh:
cam, headers, ram intake manifold with 2x4barrel 750 cfm demons. full forged rotating assy. with nitrous pistons and nitrous fogger set-up. Aluminum cylinder heads, M/T street drag slicks, 9in rear, 5lug conversion weld racing rims and a 2 speed power glide with line lock

What do you guys think?

P.S I wonder if it will beat the cammed 350 my friend is putting in his 78 camaro?:cool:

i HAVE A 91 LX 5.0 with shaved edelbroke performance heads edlebrok intake and TB,BBK cold air intake,MSD ignition setup,125 wet shot NOS,4:11gears in a built 9" rearend with full drag brakets,KYB shocks and struts,bored 30 with a light wieght edelbrok drag crank and built t5 tranny with stage 4 clutch........i ran with 73 camaro with a 502 bored to a 505 drag car threw town....we ran 130 in a 45 LOL:thumb:
 
what is all that jibber jabber.. i believe you are lost, enter "foxbody mustangs" on google to point you towards the right direction..

well the boy wanted to talk bout mustangs so i put in my 2 cents on my fox body im american muscle and import LOL....im american import
 
Just because one is a DSMer doesn't mean we can't also like and own other cars too ;)
One can never have too many fast cars, whatever they are. DSM's will still dominate all, obviously, but i don't remember any of the Conditions of this site being that you can ONLY have or talk about DSM's
I know a couple people that have foxbodys and they really like them. I'm to poor to have more than one right now though, so for the time i'm going to stick to my 1G. :thumb:
 
I think the only condition he broke is that this thread should be in the Hangout. Not the Newbie forum. All Non-DSM talk is for the Hangout.
 
Well I had a buddy who threw a 460 in his mustang and the amount of torque that car made, it was impossible to get it down the track straight. He did end up putting in a full cage, redid the suspension and tubed out the rear. However you go about it be prepared for a car with a lot of torque.
 
C'mon now, we're not Honda guys. We can all accept that other cars exist besides ours.
 
lets see mustangs suck LOL but if u get it for a good price like free what ever its fine. BTW that camero will win unless the only thing it has done is the cams then its kinda like a no brainer there is alot more money in the pos. No matter what anyone says about your idea or how bad fords are do what you want its your money and your need for speed just have fun and dont kill your self.
 
Oh great look what you've done! Now you've lit the "Ford vs. Chevy" fire... now we're all screwed! it'll never go away.
 
A 460'd fox is kind of a waste IMHO. One of the best parts of the Fox chassis is that it is very light for a muscle car. The stock 302 is a very good motor and you can make tons of power using turbo or supercharger setups. The 460 makes the car very unbalanced, and throws the power to weight ratio out the window. If you must have more cubics, think about stroking the stock 302 to a 347 or even stroking a 351 to a 396. You can keep the weight down and not loose much torque.

I have owned 2 fox bodies, and I currently own a 1994 Cobra. Don't listen to the flamers on here, you have seen the light of American Muscle! I'd be willing to bet even a mild setup fox would romp on a 350 Camaro unless he has a big power adder. Any more questions about the fox chassis? Let me know!

Other than that, Fords and GMs are both excellent litter boxes. Maybe that's why they're both going tits-up.
