How to tell a 1g EPROM from a 2g?
Hi
Is it possible to tell a 1g EPROM ECU from a 2g EPROM ECU? if so, how?
also is there 2g EPROM ecu's for the n/a engines? if so, how can i see the difference from the n/a eprom ecu and the turbo eprom ecu?
hope you guys can help!

DSMLink - FAQ - EPROM
2g ecu's have 4 ecu connectors, 1g's only have 3.

If you take the cover off of the ECU in the lower right hand corner of an Eprom ecu you will see what looks like an after market chip mounted on the board. On the 2g non eprom computors this spot is bare... there is nothing there. if i can find it ill post up the picture differences. This can be found on the dsmlink website.

He asked how to tell 1g EPROM's apart from 2g EPROM's, not how to tell if it is an EPROM.

No. Even if there is, it would be of no use to 4g63 motors.

It doesn't mount in a E T L. The case doesn't look like has the mounting tabs to go behind radio.
