Just got new ebay FMIC for $133 shipped

Size is 32x12x3.5, I payed $133 shipped to my door. I'll go to muffler shop to get piping and I'll order the couplers. I'm gonna make a how to and I'd like any input you have or would like to have as I'm doing this.

Last I knew my Garbage FMIC actually kept IAT temps as low as 80*F @ 20+psi from my 60-1. Damn that ebay garbage.

There's exceptions to the rule. Some intercoolers are pretty good along with other stuff. Some of it is a nightmare.

I believe its been proven already that EBAY FMIC kits, cores, piping, etc work and are really good and cannot be beat by any car's specific popular tuner based on price.

Heluva deal. I have an eBay fmic too. The hot side is hot and the cool side is cool with negligible pressure drop. That's all I asked for. Don't waste your money on cheap eBay couplers and screw clamps like I did. They came with the pipes I bought but I tossed them after using them to fit my pipes and bought reinforced silicone couplers and t-bolt clamps, on eBay. Don't cheap out because you got a good deal on the core. There will be lots of potential boost leaks with all the pieces going together and fighting boost leaks is a PIA.

at the blow off valve post. They throw a sticker on the ''ebay bov'' and sell it for $70 + shipping when they go for $25 on ebay!!! And then, You'll always have the people sticking up for these companies, And saying they would rather pay more for the name brand parts. Hell, Why don't we all do this, And throw on some lame stick and sell it for 4 times as much? Maybe if I throw on an exotic car emblem on my dsm parts car, I'll be able to sell it for 3 times more, Just like all the vendors are doing anymore.

Not really, but honestly it doesn't matter if I do or don't, I only talk about things I KNOW about, have tried, or seen things of comparable attributes. However, I'd like to know why you seem to not like either in the least fashion.

I have 4 ebay bovs in my basement including the type Dejon put a sticker on. What year penny would you like next to them in the picture? I have tried more ebay knock off shit than I would ever admit in person. I am a DSMr and always looking for the cheapest way just like you and everyone else here. I have earned the right to rip on this shit all I want.

And the only way to find out, is to what? CATEGORIZE them all under 'ebay' and say crap ?

It typically is crap, excpet for the exceptions. I have an ebay core here that looks similar to the original posters with no fins in the part thats sees boost. Complete shit. Again, name your penny year if I have to prove it. It's been collecting dust in my basement as well for the last 8 months.

Bingo! Those are 17 dollars from the company in China. I should order 25 and put dejon stickers on them and put them in the classifieds here for 45.00. I'd have a nice gt35r setup next year this time.

Intercoolers are intercoolers. You will see the same result by a good ebay core compared to the more expensive vendor offered ones. For those that havnt tried, dont talk. Ive had both a Greddy and a JRC and I can tell ya that I didnt see a damn difference.
