Hey Folks,

I have an excellent condition Carbon Fiber hood for a 2g for sale. Here are the details:

-Carbon Fiber Hood (I forget who made it). OEM style. Top layer of your standard carbon fiber and gel coat, and the underside has a skeleton like a stock hood made out of fiberglass. Fits like stock. Painted stock black color, but carbon fiber pattern is still viewable. Has a handful of paint chips but paint is in good condition in general. Has notch in the underside for using the stock hood stand. Also riveted in are mounts for Redline Tuning struts (saving you a bit of time on install if you buy those for your car, or you already have them). Drilled for stock windshield sprayers.
-DEI Heat Shielding installed underneath (to protect the hood/paint)
-Aerocatch Locking Plus Flush hood latches installed. I am providing the hood pins and mounting nuts/washers of course and the keys. I can show you exactly where you need to drill for the hood pins.
-Stock decals underneath (For emissions, a/c information, etc.).

The tough part here is that I at the moment am not willing to ship this. Also, the hood won't just bolt up to a stock car because I removed the central hood latch loop since I use the Aerocatch latches.

I'm asking $450 for this. What I will do for this $450 is:
1) Sell to someone who will do a local pick-up
2) Swap the hood for their stock one (I will have it picked up and thrown away)
3) Assist in installing the hood pins in my garage (I'll guide, use my tools, and make it pretty quick since I did the install on my car, and just did these again for my new hood).

That's quite a deal on an excellent condition lightweight carbon fiber hood WITH Aerocatch Locking latches INSTALLED. If you were to do this piecemeal you'd be looking at:
- $600 for the hood (I think that's what this one cost me)
- $95 for the locking latches
- $50 for the DEI heat shielding
- $10 for the decals
- probably around $200-300 for the hood latch install, or a long afternoon on your own.

Please don't ask me to ship as I won't. I just don't have time to go through that hassle.

I live in Herndon, VA, and should be able to work out the sale/install on a scheduled weekend.

Payment made via paypal to [email protected], or via cash (the latter preferably to avoid fees).

Picture of hood installed on the car can be seen here:

If you want more pics of the hood or have any questions let me know, preferably via PM. Thanks!

Damnit someone buy my hood. Dropping the price to $350 installed with my help, or $300 just picked up :)
