I have a 95 gsx and everything that could go wrong with a gsx is wrong with my car. Is there any shops near silver spring area that work on dsm? I've been reading and i'm pretty sure i wanna go with the 6bolt swap 16g turbo setup. So any comments or feedback would be helpful. Cause right now i'm just like :ohdamn: with my dsm

I think your best option if you are sure you want a shop to do the work for you would be ISP in beltsville, they are pretty good and Brad Brooks does thaeir tuning and he is a DSM genius.

I know nothing about dsm and i don't have a place to even try the swap so a shop is what i have to work with for right now. I see u have a 95 too what are u running? Any idea how much a 6bolt swap would cost?

does anyone have a estimate on cost? because i have two cars and i really wanna get my other car back on the road asap?

anything is helpful i just need a round about parts and labor? 1000, 1500 2000 more... anything... please and thank u

I wrecked my eclipse this past weekend, but I fully built my bottom end on my own. I spent close to 2000 just in parts to build my motor, everything valvetrain wise was OEM replacement. It all depends on how much money you have to spend and what your goals are. I would suggest doing a lot of research before you commit to anything.

My goal is to basically get something that is quick, reliable and good on gas... Nothing to crazy just simple and fast

Did u part out ## wrecked eclipse? What happen to it?

Ok thanks for all the help but I think i'm just gonna sell it... I'm to the point that I hate dsm they aren't as sweet as everyone makes them seem.

everyone goes through the faze of hating their DSM. Just stick it out and before you know it, youll know the car like the back of your hand. itll probably cost you around 2000 for a reliable rebuild. Also, what exactly is wrong with your car?

Crankwalk!!! LOL big hole in my exhaust but that i dont care about i'll get a 3" to replace that... But the crankwalk sucks i'll try to stick it out but this thing turns like a 4x4, its fast but only in a str8 line i like my s14 handle wise better.

Hey man, these cars are old and as you have found out have some issues. 6 bolt is the way to go. if you have the time and money to get these cars back up and dialed in correct.......u will love them. i was in the same boat with you except i blew up my 7 bolt. i currently have a 6 bolt that me and my friend built. If you need a shop to build the car ### you cant do it yourself then do research. My personal opinion stay away from ISP. Brad brooks is a great tuner but the owner of ISP, Peter, is a chump. I tried getting my car tuned therea 3 times before i said #### it. It seemed to me he didnt care about customers and trying to get cars tuned and worked on. Very first time trying to schedule. Appointment was made for a saturday, peter was a no show and told brad he talked to me and rescheduled for sunday......he never called me. So i drove the car over an hour to find nobody there. Brad showed up an later only because i called him and told him i was there at the shop. Had to call peter several times before he answered and was still at his house and not coming in.Next two times were no better but i wont get into it. Just seems to lack professionalism.....

anyway man do some research and find a shop you like. This was just my personal exp. i personally like Machv

Just stick with the car because I know what your goin through. I bought my 96 gst with a crankwalk 7bolt. I swapped for a 6bolt fully built bottom and had the head completely done also but its taken me almost 2 years and I still havent drove the car yet. Unlike you im aiming for big power numbers and will do everything right the first time to get there. You dont wanna rush or throw something together if your not gonna be happy with it, but good luck with whatever you decide.
