Ok today i replaced a radiator hose (lower) no biggie.. but im driving.. hit full boost.. let off then tap the gas again and SOMETIMES quite a bit of greyish smoke comes from the exhaust.. not tons but enough to notice...

i looked and the hose coming from the valve cover and going to the intake was kinked, due to my 2.5" intake pipe taking up alot of room and mashing against the fan brace.. so i made me a insta-catch can out of a sprite bottle.. then it did it AGAIN, i popped the hood and the can was on its side and the hose *MAY* have been kinked again.. not sure but it was a thin plastic hose not rubber.... i replaced it with a thicker rubber one.. havent driven it since so i dunno if that will fix it...

my friend told me that if that hose gets kinked, pressure can build up and and cause smoke like that.. makes sense i guess..

ive ruled out 2 things

1: blow by... perfect compresson and besides it would do it all the time.

2: bad turbo seal letting oil into the exhaust or intake.. doubtful because again.. it doesent do it all the time and it would smoke more at full boost than at no boost (vac) it doesent smoke at all at full boost..

any ideas folks? im a little lost..

To the best of my knowledge that line that runs from the valve cover to the intake makes no difference if it is kinked, plugged..its just illegal to run it anywhere but your intake track (or so I have been informed).
How many miles on the motor? Have you pulled apart anything looking for oil? I am leaning towards shot valve seals, but I can not figure out why it would do it on a 'throttle tip in' application, after full boost. It does sound like you have quite a bit of ,argg I can't think of the word, we'll call it excess pressure. Especially if it is blowing a sprite can over (unless it just fell over). Does your dipstick ever pop out? How much oil have you lost?
Keep us posted.

Are you thinking crankcase pressure?

Is it making a noise when it smokes? I've seen supras shoot massive flames out of the exhaust when they do that, and I can get my car to do it every once in a while. Maybe its what your car is doing, only maybe youre not running rich enough to get a flame. Are you venting the BOV to the atmosphere? Just a guess....

ok lets see..

ive done..

Ported exhaust manifold, 02 housing, wastegate
ported 14b turbo (newly rebuilt)
1g head with fresh valve job.

Greddy IC pipes
FMIC
1g BOV
act2100
all emissions garbage removed
3" downpipe
3" catless polished stainless steel exhaust
all the gauges
B&M FPR set at 46PSI
walbro 255 high pressure pump
magnecor wires
new plugs.. well sort of new (2k or so on them)

i drive the car to work this morning and it didnt smoke.. i tried to get on it some but 40mph am traffic full of idiots and groggy assholes in not the best testbed for hitting full boost..

ill keep yall informed

in other more relevent news:

It hasnt done it since i put the stock hose back on, but i did notice something strange and disconcerning..

i could smell some oil burning so i looked under the car, there is some spattering on my downpipe so i figure its the oil return line right? but it doesent seem to be... it looks like the oil is leaking from the band clamp area.. where the exhaust housing meets the center section...

well, i pulled off the bandclamp.. lots of oil.. it looks like my new turbo from majestic turbo.. with only 700 EASY miles on it.. is leaking alot of oil....

isnt that excellent.
