I got my shortblock back from the machineshop today and the guy who put it together to check and make sure the bearing tangs are the right way. But im not sure how on manley H beam rods i know they have numbers no the bottom of the rod and on the cap that they corespond to but which way are these numbers suposed to be facing the intake or the exhaust side? This is my first major build so im a newb when it comes to anything but stock stuff.

It matters not, they do not come from the factory number stamped, the shop did that.

As long as the tang on the rod and tang on the cap are on the same side of the rod you will be ok.

ok awsome!! But forsome reason mine came with numbers on them ill upload a pic to show its like 0321 0322 0323 and 0324 and these are done by a laser etch but either wasy as long as im good on tang facing either way im set for the rest of my build

Doh.. I forget about the lazer etch... I normaly number them 1,2,3,4... on the rod and cap

yea those are the ones i was asking about haha. But they are all facing the same way and look good so i am a-go for the next part of my rebuild which is bottom end gaskets
