7-bolt head & bottom build; indestructable????

Is there such a thing as an indestructable 7-bolt? (please read whole thread)

Imagine having endless funds for this topic...

Main purpose of this thread is to discuss what people believe is the most indestructable 2.0L build? (Not interested in talking about strokers, noz, meth, etc...) I would like to hear people's thoughts, ideas, and experiences behind the 2.0L and what they would consider an "indestructable" build internally for the 2.0? Please include the "crankwalk" issue because there is still a lot of people out there that do not understand what it is and how to prevent it. Be specific on the complete build of the head and bottom end, as that is the main point of this thread.

Befor you go asking a bunch of questions and stating the obvious facts, I'll state facts to work off of for the build: 900hp, automatic(stated auto because it will make a difference when considering low-end & top-end power), all supporting mods to easily meet 900hp. ***consider 900hp the bottom side***

Just looking for discussion and constructive critisism.Don't bad-mouth someone's ideas if you don't agree. I know there is a lot on this wonderful site about this topic but I would like to see a discussion that is up to date with all this useful information in one thread.

Thanks

There's really no such thing as an indestructible motor, regardless of make or displacement.. That being said.. You can get close, aside from the obvious high quality forged parts, the biggest, most important issues when trying to make that kind of power are going to be critical clearances. Main and rod bearings need to be clearanced and measured precisely, this means no plastigauge. The ring gap and piston to wall clearance are major factors in a high horsepower engine too, and must be set according to power expectation. Also, just so you know, this will be a race only motor, there is no way of making a motor with that much power have any kind of longevity.. It will only be good for dragstrip passes. Considering your power goal, you need to be gathering information on more than just the engine, to be able to put that kinda power down with any sort of efficiency you're gonna need serious chassis and suspension work.

Great reply. I was curious how long it would take someone to respond with your response. To be totally honest, I already know all the key factors for building this kind of hp. I am just looking for discussion on different setups shooting for this hp and responses like yours. This type of information is very useful to many many people. I do understand all the supporting mods that are needed for a build like this and that is my long-term goal (yr.2014). As for now, I have a nice stealthy street machine that does me plenty good. I plan to add to this discussion down the road for supporting mods needed to make hp like this.

Thanks again and great response
Jon
