After much research , I have decided to go for 2.4 LR build

My plans are to get

7 bolt 4g64 block
100mm OEM crank

Conrod Choices :
MAP Howard 156mm 7/16" ARP 2000
Manley H Beam 156mm 3/8" ARP 2000
Manley I Beam 156mm 3/8" ARP 2000

My piston choice would be
- Wiseco 1400HD Stroker piston custom size since they are not offered at 86.5mm and above
- Manley pistons on shelf 86.5mm stroker pistons

Aim : 650whp+

I would need your opinion on the piston choice, any of you guys running on Manley pistons over here ? I know Slowboy swears on its quality , but anyone else using them ?

I would choose the MAP I beam's because of its price and its bigger 7/16" ARP2000 bolts. ARP 625 are jst too costly

I would run grp rods and je pistons only for the fact of weight. You're just going to build yet another low rev stroker. Manley has great product.. I've never had rods from them so i can't tell you about that. I would also recommend a fluidamper. Goodluck and post some pictures up if you do follow through with the build. Im interested to see which way you go.

I will for sure go with a fluidampr
I will start a build up blog soon on dsmtuners
Lightest pistons i guess would be the Mahle , but then its a 4032
Lightest conrod would be a Aluminium bt i guess it wont be streetable so the other choice for lightest is the K1 Light Weight H Beams.

Mahle makes 2618 pistons for 4G63's.
They are called Power Pack Plus pistons that are made from forged 2618 aluminum alloy.

Aluminum rods are very streetable. Its 2011.
Yes, aluminum rods are very streetable, but they are extremely tough to fit in a 4G64 with a 100mm stroke crankshaft without serious block clearancing.

If I may ask, what made you decide the setup you decided vs. other displacement sizes/options available?
