Curious to know what you guys all think.

I just got my new oem cam seals in the mail.

Here is the question:
Should I be ok with just pulling the cam gears off or will I need to pull the cams too?

Is there any reason why keeping the cams in while installing the new seals would hurt anything? I plan on oiling the inner lip, and maybe a small bit of rtv on the outside.

Thoughts would be awesome, I want to spend the least amount of time in the 0degree garage as possible :hellyeah:

You don't have to remove the cams, but you may have to loosen the cam cap where the seal sits. Be careful not to strip the head of the cam gear bolts, they can be a pain to break loose.

Alright thank you.

Ill post back with my success

I got them replaced with no issues. I didn't even have to loosen the caps. I used a dentist pick and pull them right out.

FYI: Ask for your tools they use on you at the dentist office, they work great for small jobs, I have a few in my tool box.
