Aftermarket rings

What's the general consensus of using aftermarket rings (basically non-OEM) on an OEM piston? OEM rings are $150, while aftermarkets are in the $50 range. Will they stand up to the temps and pressures that our boosted motors make? Starting to think about dropping some 2G pistons in, and will need new rings. Looking to be around the 450whp mark as well.

I'd be saving around $100 with the aftermarkets, but not if I'm sacrificing reliability. Just looking for some input here.

depends on the brand of rings you choose.....

Hastings, sealed power/perfect circle make good products.

just make sure you compare apples to apples

make sure that the $50 rings are moly if the $150 rings are moly
