Oil filter housing, AN fittings need O-ring? (pic)

Setting up an external oil cooler. Installed the AN fittings. Do these require an O-ring?

Do I see thread sealer there? You should not use any sealer on these threads. Those fittings are made to seal with a copper, nylon or aluminum washer. It's a good idea to replace these for a 100% seal. You can pick them up at almost any parts store. Just ask for a drain plug gasket/washer for that size.

You may have to explain to the parts counter person that its metric! :D they dont seem to understand the concept where im from, there always like is that from a chevy 350:banghead:
