Ive been having alot of problems with the car since the head install. IM getting a nasty vibration that comes on right at 3k rpms and goes away around 3800.Its backing out bolts left and right.first it was the p.s. pump next the alt. and today the brace for the driver side axel came off causing a seal to blow which oil soaked my clutch and now thats slippin:mad:I put on a new mitsu crank pully but that diddent help.I had my pal(a well seasond wrench) do the belt and tension part,Just wondering if he diddent get it adjusted properly.Would it cause that much vibrations? Any help would be great!

Do you still have balance shafts? It's very easy to get a balance shaft out of synch while putting the belt on, especially for someone that doesn't have a lot of experience with a 4g63.

If you replaced the head, that means you had the timing belt off. When you timed the oil pump (rear balance shaft) did you turn the mark to the 12 o'clock position and see if it fell counter clockwise? If you did not, my money is on your rear balance shaft being out of phase.

You might be right. I dont know what he did cause at the time I was on the other side putting the turbo and all the ducting back together.IM unexpereanced in that area so I figuerd he could handle it no prob

Pulled the timing cover tonight. The belt seems loose.Ill jump back on it after work tomorow
