well i had a good day, i finally dropped the engine in the tsi, but do the 1g 7bolts not have the oil cooler thing that bolts to the oil pump??? what do i do aabout it

As far as I know they do not. If you are swaping to a seven bolt from a 6 you will need to use the 6 bolt oil filter housing and get a new filter housing gasket.

Correct, just the 90's have air cooled setup,
But aren't the 6bolt/7bolt filter housings different? I see them online for about $30 new, forward or standard facing.

they are differnt but they bolt up so you can use the air cooler off the 90 on a 7 bolt this is a common upgrade for 7 bolts. I just was un sure off a 1g 7bolt as for I have yet to own a 1g 7 bolt turbo. I have owned several 90s and a few 2gs.

the engine is 6 bolt always has its out of my laser but i need to know if i can block it or if i have to have that
